Any spst switch (single pole single throw) switch will work. I buy panel mount slide switches (these), they have more pins than needed you only need two -- one in the center and one outer pin in the same column, but they can be epoxied in one of the vent holes in the back after filing down the width of the slider a little. Others use toggle or rocker switches that need a hole drilled for them (I can't bring myself to do that to a console and think it's ugly looking).
