I haven't had experience with those cases in particular, but this is the on that I use and it looks like it has a similar lip height.

I love mine, it is definitely enough to keep the glass from getting scratched face down, even on an uneven surface. However, if you dropped your phone face down onto gravel, it wouldn't be enough lip to avoid scratches.
