Based on your physique. I can tell you workout. That's definitely backne, and based on how it covers more than 50% of your back, it's most likely a result of fungal infection which has spreaded,
This is extremely common for guys who workout alot. It can be caused from a number of varying factors;
*such as staying in a sweaty shirt too long * laying on a workout bench. * not properly washing your back. completely to get rid of built up dead skin, oil and seabum. * to having simply needing to wash/change your sheets more often.
Since it's so common, fortunately it's simple to reverse without going through the prescription and dermatology route.
Here are some things whichhelped me tremendously, when I had the same issue.
Get outta your sweaty shirt as soon as possible when u get home. Even if it's not drenched, it still holding all the bacteria from you being in the gym. Your basically wearing a petri dish.
Try to get in a nice shower within 1 hour after your workout, to wash the bacteria, sweat, and dirt and oils off of you.
2a. The way u do it is important too. Because you have a wide classic V back, it's hard to clean the entire thing by yourself. I found that one of those Japanese Exfoliating Loofa type back cloths, really worked wonders for me to make sure I was able to comfortably reach ALL of my back. You don't have to scrub your skin raw, just light, med pressure, as if you were washing a ๐ would suffice. Again DO NOT SCRUB your skin raw! (You'll find out why below)
2b. This will accomplish 2 things, slough off all the dean built up skin, allowing the new cells to turnover quicker, and start slowly breaking down and exposing the "caps or peaks" of your current breakouts.
2c. Bonus, u can dry it much much faster than you can a regular rag by whipping it like a cowboy with a lasso, making the snap at the end!
Defense Antifungal Medicated Bar Soap
&
Defense Soap Body Wash Shower Gel
3a. The bar soap is medicated, so I will take care of the fungal breakout on your back. A little goes a long way, just lather it up nicely on the Japanese loofa back towel and GENTLY clean your back. The key is...u MUST let it sit there for around 5 mins, to allow the active ingredient Tolnaftate to properly do its job.
3b. I would suggest wetting your body 1st, and focusing on the back first. Then make sure you turn your back away from the ๐ฟ or turn it off, so u can focus on ๐งผ the rest of your body (tip to toe).
3c. The bar soap of intended for people who play contact sports like wrestling or football and stuff. I'm sure you know it's quite common for them to get athletes foot, or jock itch or ringworms and other fungal infections. This gets rid of it. Remember the bar soap is only for your back or anywhere else u have and rash or itchiness.
3d. The shower gel is for the rest of your body, u don't need much. A little goes a LONG way. It lathers easily and the smell overtakes the bathroom with a sent of pine tree needles or ice mint (depending on which one u get). It's not a bad or medical scent, it's just potent. This is for the rest of your body, while u r waiting for the 5 mins to pass for your back.
3e. After your 5 mins Make sure you rinse everything off completely!
I prefer the tub, but the bottle will work too. It will sting in the beginning, but not so much where u can't bear it. That just means it's working. The smell resembles glue with a faint hint of something metallic, like nickles (best description I can come up with). However it's faint and once Aspen, will completely disappear.
4a. It's IMPERATIVE you put this on while your skin is damp, so it can trap in the moisture, facilitating quicker healing time, while decreasing the intensity of the stinging. It's an AHA, so it's gonna sting. But again, that's what u want.
4b. Make sure you apply this lotion to your ENTIRE back, and preferably body, only from the neck down.
4c. If done daily, You'll began noticing results within a week, of done every other day, expect 2 weeks, and so on...just trust the process. Coming from someone who went through the same EXACT thing....this WORKS!
4d. As the old skin cells are sloughed off, pushing the infected cells along with it and allowing new skin to surface... Within 1 month ,y ou'll notice a DRASTIC improvement, 2 months you'll barely see any new breakouts, and but the 3rd and 4th month, you'll show little to no signs of you even having issue with your back. TRUST the process.
Def a long post, but I wanted to make sure I was throughout for u and let you know that this is no big deal, once u learn how to handle it, instead of allowing it to handle u!
Lmk if you have any additional questions, good luck and look forward to your progress pics!
Assuming we are talking about the same thing, this is what I have. I haven't had any issues with shrinking.
Using these wash cloths have helped me this similar issues.
Against my better judgement, I'm going to keep this thread going. You can solve your problem by dealing with the tent and your smells as two separate problems:
2a. If you are section hiking, bring some baby wipes. 4 single-use baby wipes is enough for me to "wash" my whole body. Typical packages have 80 baby wipes, so a single pack (~3 lbs, maybe?) could last all three of you 6 or 7 days.
2b. If you are thru-hiking, invest in a lightweight travel loofah and some Dr. Bronners soap (soap is optional). Camp in the vicinity of a water source and scrub down vigorously every night. Most of the dirt and grime is topical, and will come off, even without soap. If you are judicious you can rinse your whole body with under a liter of water.
