You sound almost exactly like me. I hurt my wrist, ended up dropping out of my league. Waited about 4 months, went bowling, and still had pain. I thought it was a TFCC tear as well. I scheduled an appointment with a doc and they said it was tendinitis.
I wear a brace, but only this.
What really made a difference is a grip strengthener. This is not the one I have, but it looks a lot like it.
I used it while sitting here at work for a while. Eventually my wrist just started feeling better and better. The last time I had REAL wrist pain was probably a year and a half ago.
