I use Roll20 but any online TTRPG site would work. I connect with my laptop and make the projector a second screen. I have my DM map on my screen and the player map on the second screen, which is projected onto my dining room table. If I have a remote player, then they can just log into the Roll20 game and see the maps. The only trouble we had was audio; I am going to have to invest in a good mic that is designed to pick up our table conversation for him.
