This is probably going to be a frowned on recommendation but I grabbed one of these and it works well. It's a little brush you stick ahead of your tonearm and it cleans the record prior to the needle.
It is actually cleaning dust off the record. I have to clean the brush head every couple of deployments.
It is also removing static. How do I know this? Well, my dumbass grounded it to the same groundpin as the speakers. I was actually charging the entire brush assembly for a bit there. I could actually feel the static across the whole thing. Once I properly grounded it there's no static. I feel like it's actually helping quite a bit.
This item feels like something an audiophile would shit on but I think it's neat.. I honestly had my doubts but now that I know it can be charged I suspect it's also able to correctly discharge through the ground. It's also grabbing bigger pieces of lint and dust.
