I have that same setup. I’ll post the links of what I’m using and it works very well for me. I started out using my flat top stove and it wasn’t easy to control the heat, so I installed an element and it has made all the difference in the world.

I will say that it’s a slight pain in the ass to get the bulkhead fitting installed because the metal is kinda thin so even with a decent hole saw it grabbed and broke off a few drill bits. For Temperature control I use a router speed controller and it works as good as I could ask for. I have probably a dozen runs on this setup and it’s been working flawlessly and producing some very good quality product.

Heating Element I used : DERNORD 2 Inch (OD64) Tri-clamp 120V 1650W Foldback Heating Element Electric Water Heater with Low Watt Density https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DLVJQ3G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XGMKPC6SMQ731MXYJQRJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Power cord that I cut the end off and wired to the element, since this was cheaper than buying the wire and plug separately:

If you have any questions then let me know. I can send you a picture of where I placed mine at in the pot or answer anything about how I’ve been successful running that setup. Basically it takes right at an hour to go from room temp to making product, for a 6 gallon batch. I run the element on full until I get about 2-300ml out and then cut back to low. From there it will stabilize and make about a liter an hour of what I’m running and then when I get into tails then I put it back on full and get whatever I’m wanting of them, before shutting it off. I haven’t had any scorching at all and it’s very easy to clean up. I packed the condenser with copper mesh above and below the baffle in the condenser and you can get some clean 180 proof when running it slow.

Hopefully this information will help you out. I do wish I had taken the time and money to put the element in sooner, but even on a large flat top burner it’s able to make good product; the biggest issue is fitting it under the hood on the stove unless you lay it in pot still mode.

Let me know if you have any questions.
