Sounds like you just need one more USB port? I ran into a similar problem with the Valve Index VR headset needing its own USB and thunderbolt port, along with my Throttle and Joystick HOTAS for piloting games, I ran out of ports with the mouse and keyboard already in my gaming laptop.
