I chose those because the outside flood lights and entry lights I automated are only controlled by one switch. If you want to automate a light controlled by more than one switch, you need to buy the “add-on switch version” for the other switches.

I also chose these as opposed to the paddles (long rectangular looking switches) because I would not have to replace the faceplate. (Most of my switches are 3-4 switch panels,... not just one switch by itself). The rectangular paddle switches are just too big and I wanted to keep the light switches that I was not going to automate the same, without having to replace those and replace the faceplate as well. Sure, the color didn’t match, my face plates and other switches are light almond, and these only come in white - but honestly you barely notice it.

I️t was pretty easy to install and even easier to connect and set up. Abode makes this a breeze. Just make sure that you cut the breaker and then make sure that the wires aren’t still hot!
