Here's the loose leaf tea infuser I use, it's got a small mesh so almost no sediment gets into the tea, which I like. Good luck!

Since you’re new to tea I’m going to give you a tip I wish somebody had given me. Don’t bother with the tea infuser inside the tea kettle. 1.7 L, which is the size of my tea kettle, is a lot of water. The only time I use that much is when I want to make pasta faster and I pre-boil the water in the kettle before dumping it in the pot. When you make tea, especially black tea, the longer you steep it the more bitter it becomes. For this reason, when yours brewing black, green, oolong you need to remove the infuser after the recommended steeping time. (5 min for black, 2-3 for green). Leaving the infuser in the kettle longer than that makes for bitter tea. Just to give you an idea of how big 1.7 L is… for loose tea, you use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8 oz of water. So to make a full pot of black tea for instance, you would use a little more than 7 teaspoons of loose tea to make 7 cups of tea since 1.7 L equals 57.48 ounces. That’s great if you’re planning on making a pitcher of tea or serving tea to a group, and you may very well be doing that. But if you’re only making one or 2 cups of tea, the infuser is completely useless. I usually fill my tea kettle to .5 L, sometimes 1 L first thing in the morning if I plan to make multiple cups over the morning. But when you have a lower quantity of water in the kettle, only the very bottom of the infuser reaches the water, so the tea leaves really don’t have the chance to expand and bloom. I have personally found the individual micro fine mesh tea infuser‘s that you put in your cup or mug produce a more flavorful and balanced tea. But as I said, if you’re looking to brew a very large quantity of tea, the 1.7 L with the infuser will work for you. I personally only make one cup at a time. But I just wanted to let you know that in case you were looking to make tea for just one or two people. Hot tea that’s been sitting in a pot begins to change flavor after sitting for too long, so I never brew ahead. Just a bit of friendly advice I wish I had been given because I made some awful tea in the beginning.

I’m case you’re interested in the micro fine infusers I use, here’s the link. House Again 2 Pack Tea Infuser,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079BJNM8D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I prefer these to all the cutsie ones with the bigger holes. I’ve never had tea leaves or dust leak out of these.
