So I bought the original DVD releases of seasons 1-2 on Amazon. Season 2 got here this morning and I popped in a disk. I was at the original 4:3 ratio, no cropping I'm happy to say. So I immediately went online and bought season 3 and 4 as well.

1, 2 and 4 are still really reasonable new on Amazon. For example:

However the rest of the seasons are really expensive if you buy them new. I bought season 3 used, and I will wait and see if my wife and I enjoy the first four seasons as much as I expect to before I decide what to do about the last two seasons. I have a vision of myself paying an absurd amount for the last two seasons six month from now . . .

If I knew what I know now three days ago, I probably would have just dropped $150 on ebay and bought the whole series in the old DVD format.
