I've found Michael Singer's work to be invaluable in addressing my own emotional issues. In a short time, I've gone from depressed and anxious to rather content and happy. His book Living Untethered was very helpful. He advocates a method called 'witness consciousness' or just surrender. It's particularly useful because it's something you learn to practice constantly and doesn't really take additional time out of your day.
