These look super cool. Haven’t done this myself, but depending on your final report, I might give them a try!
My base 2015 has mirrors that will fold when parked - I assume all i3’s have this. Somewhere in that housing is the motor to turn the side mirrors. You’ll need to tap the DC+ line to that motor to power the blue lights. Maybe something like this would work: https://www.amazon.com/Low-Voltage-Wire-splice-connectors/dp/B072N7S3DL/ref=asc_df_B072N7S3DL/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242041198988&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13037046067899270247&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003022&hvtargid=pla-426269110964&psc=1

I don’t get how the yellow + blue lights work?!? Do you get to select which you want? Or it switches from one to the other?
Let me here what you find!
