It reduced the sound of the rain falling on the bubble windows from sounding like a drum to the sound of a light sprinkle outside which made sleeping much better. I have a bike rack on the back I fastened one end to after sliding a pvc pipe through the end sleeve and bungied the front side.

My thinking was that if I just put a tarp above I'd be hearing big drops smacking the tarp all night, so why not try making the drops smaller.
