I use the Tylt Vu, which others like Spigen and itian have either been inspired by or rebranded.

I've got a Tylt. Never had a problem with a non-metal case in any orientation. Pretty sure it doesn't support the new wireless fast charging that Samsung came up with, but it will charge the Note5 at a reasonable rate.

Why are wireless chargers not an option?

I have a Tylt and I love it:

I just bought an LG G3 and wireless charger through Amazon and buy stuff from their Prime Pantry. Not sure what stuff I'm not buying anymore. Edit: Wireless Tylt charger has cut down the amount of cords on my desk. Takes my tablet and LG G3 w/qi charger. I love it.

TYLT Vu Wireless Charger. I love this charger! It's really easy to make sure it's centered on the charging spot.

Tylt vu is by far my favorite.

TYLT VU Qi Wireless Phone Charging Pad: 3 Coil Stand & Fast Battery Charger Station for Compatible Galaxy Note Lumia Droid DNA LG Google & Android Cell Phones (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DG8NUC8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_L0Swzb15RKMM4

I also have ankers charger but it is single coil so it is finicky on placement. It charges as fast as whichever adapter is used. I also us a QC 3.0 charger on that

Anker Fast Wireless Charger Charging Pad for Galaxy Note 5, S7/S7 edge/S6/S6 edge/S6 edge+, Nexus 4/5/6/7, LG G3 and Other Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KJL4XNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_w4SwzbYZQH0SS

The anker is faster, both gave fairly low heat input, I have the anker on my desk and the tylt vu at work.

So I have this pad which works OK on this case but the positioning is a bit too 'exact' for me. I also got this dock which is much better. I've just ordered this one too for a different desk, which hopefully is going to be the best of the bunch.

They all work though, the dock is pretty cool just to be able to grab and go from the night stand.

In addition to the above, not all wireless chargers are created equal. Cheap ones may not work with all phones or may require very precise positioning of the phone (which kills the convenience factor compared to wire). The one that is really good but expensive is TYLT. There is also a cheaper alternative which is supposedly a Chinese copy of Tylt.

I have a Tylt that I am very happy with. I heard that Itian A6 works fine, but I don't have personal experience with it.

I bought the TYLT because it wireless chargers as fast as a normal plugin usb. You have to be careful because a lot of the wireless chargers out there take a lifetime to wireless charge a phone.

I'm using the TYLT Vu Wireless charger with the spigen slim armor. Works great for me. I imagine any charger would work with it. I picked the TYLT because it props the phone up at an angle so I can see the clock better at night.
