Yes.
You can measure your CYA and see for yourself how quickly it rises. But also bleach is much cheaper and using it isn't any more complicated than using the granules. (Well, it's liquid vs granules--so there's that difference) The only added step to the process is that you use the dichlor for the first week, then switch to bleach, so you do have to have both on hand. But a bottle of 7.5% bleach at home depot is around $8.00 and will probably last 5 - 6 months.
