i’m glad you’re asking! unfortunately guinea pigs do NOT need extra height in their cage. it’s much better to get a longer cage rather than a taller cage! a good one to start with is a midwest cage. also i will say, if at all possible, please get another pig! guinea pigs thrive when they have a friend. i understand it’s sometimes not always possible, but i hope you can look into it. good luck! :)
I recommend the Midwest. https://www.amazon.com/Guinea-Habitat-Cage-MidWest-Inches/dp/B001NJ0DPY/
It’s a standard size and much easier to find accessories and liners for it. The company is well known and has been around awhile.

Thanks for stepping up and adopting him :)
I buy timothy hay from guinea dad (I'm on their monthly subscription so they send me it every month automatically), one box comes with three boxes of timothy hay and that can last 1-2 guinea pigs for around a month. I recommend this hay as I've never had an issue with it, where other brands are always either too dusty or I've found dead mice etc in it.
The midwest guinea pig cage is the minimum size recommended for 1-2 guinea pigs, anything smaller than this and you'll run into issues. You can buy bigger cages here. There's no such thing as too big of a cage for guinea pigs :)
For bedding a lot of people opt for fleece and I recommend this store for it. It's easy to clean hay and poop off and it's extremely absorbent. I've had issues with fleece from etsy stores (hard to clean, starts to smell around the middle of the week, etc) or you can go with wood shavings. The LA guinea pig rescue recommends kiln-dried pine shavings. Make sure the shavings are KILN DRIED because it removes most of the oil and dust from the wood. Pine that hasn't been treated can be poisonous to guinea pigs.
For enrichment, guinea pigs love to eat and hide. Search for "guinea pig hideys" on amazon and you'll see what I mean. They love to sit in those soft little hideys, it makes them feel safe. Guinea pigs don't really "play" and there's no point in buying toys for them.
Lastly I'm going to recommend you watch videos here. This is the LA guinea pig rescue's youtube channel, it's the largest guinea pig rescue in the US and Saskia has run it for over 20 years, she knows more about guinea pigs that probably anyone alive.
Here's another good youtube channel, this is Scotty who volunteers for the above rescue.
12.5 sq. ft. should be sufficient for 3 pigs.

I don’t know anything about that specific cage, but it looks similar in style to mine. I keep two boys in two of the Midwest cages below, end to end:

I really like them. However, individually, they’re not as big as the cage that you’re looking at, with < 8 sq. ft. each.
