Amazon has a 1080 for $479 and it comes with $100 off a gsync monitor and a free game. So if you're planning to get a monitor. That coupon could lower your overall build price. And the free game is a cherry on top! Last time I used the offer Amazon actually never sent me the game download and instead just gave me a $20 credit.
How do you account for Amazon filtering out some bogus reviews? Occasionally some things get negative votes even though the vote is not related to the product. For example:
This GTX 1080 has a 4.5 star rating, despite 50% of the reviews being 1 star
How do you account for the other bias in that people tend to review products either when they are good or bad (the 1 star vs 5 star bias, with 2-4 being less common)?
What are the odds that the selection bias exists largely because people receive products that they would normally like anyway and do you account for this?
I have no doubt that some reviews are absolutely biased, but I am not so sure that they are "extremely biased"
