Since you’re asking for opinions:
I think the center stand is well worth getting and installing on the bike. Especially when it comes to maintenance.
If a center stand doesn’t appeal to you, I prefer a bike stand like this (I have no experience with this exact product, but I have one that is the same concept): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AV8HSA6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_A9X0PBMXETG4QDJ5NDDM
I use WD40 to clean and then I use Maxima Chain Wax. I don’t know if it’s the best chain lube out there, but I’ve tried a few and Maxima made the smallest mess and seemed to do the job the best for me.
I like those chain brushes. I don’t have those exact ones, but that concept works very well for me where you hit three sides at once. Just don’t forget to clean the 4th side of your chain too! Also the sprockets need love too. I clean my rear sprocket every time and the front sprocket every other chain cleaning. I would prefer to both every time, but it’s just a couple more steps and it can be a bit time consuming to get the front too…
There are thousands of how to videos on YOuTube on how to actually do the job.
Hopefully this is helpful and enjoy the NC! It’s a wonderful motorcycle.
Yeah, I meant stable, my bad.
I think I'll go with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Venom-Motorcycle-Swingarm-Paddle-Kawasaki/dp/B00AV8HSA6?ie=UTF8&keywords=motorcycle%20swing%20arm%20stand&qid=1464196942&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2
