Yeah, I have another Arduino project that uses generic 2GB cards and have had a few dud cards come through.
But for this project, I'm using 4-bit mode (see schematic added to the first post) and the SANDISK Extreme 64GB card right from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FCMBLV6
Make sure you get an SDcard rated at least "A1". An older 16GB card I tried was flaky in my R2 - the "A2" rated 64GB card I replaced it with has been rock solid :) .

These are the best price to performance ratio cards I've found. Until A3 cards are released this is what I buy for SBCs. Also sorry for this mess of a link. I'm on my phone.

I put a microfiber cloth used to detail my car in the case to wipe the Air 2 down after a dirty landing or if it got wet.

I don’t really use too much else. There are some 3D printed accessories on Etsy that I’ve considered. I’ve also considered a landing mat. I’ve found myself landing in slightly wet dirt and wished I had one. But, I typically land in my hand in those situations.
I got a controller adapter to use an iPad but I generally prefer my phone for simplicity as my iPad doesn’t have cellular.
There are some trick mobile apps that let you set a predetermined course, but I haven’t cared to try them yet.
