I just picked a random cheap one that looked good on Amazon Here's the link There was no troubleshooting, I just plugged it in and made sure my wifi was shut off so there's no way I'd be getting a connection from anywhere else and went into the web browser and did a speed test at speedtest.net I was getting just under 300mbps which is the limit for USB 2 network adapters and lined up with what other success stories were getting.

One weird thing is that even though it worked when you go to settings on the TV it says "No Network Connected" because it can't tell there's an adapter connected, it just works. Weird I know.

Another thing I noticed when doing finicky network stuff like this is try different speed test websites to check your speeds. I noticed depending on the server/ website my speeds drastically differ. For example the Netflix speedtest website I can't get over 10mbps for some reason. Doesn't effect actual Netflix playback at all though.
