I haven’t used their glossy, but I’ve found in other brands the glossy feels “tacky” and laminate doesn’t want to seem to adhere to it as well as matte or the weird holographic papers. Example: I laminated the silhouette brand irridescent sticker paper and it looked great! I cut it, and then when I popped the die cut stickers out the laminate slid right off! Other papers had poor adhesion where it peeled up on the edge of the sticker, it’s unfortunately all trial and error with inevitable waste.

I laminate to make stickers waterproof/water resistant, it’s not necessary for just paper craft stickers but I want mine to be okay for like laptops and drink bottles. Cold laminate is just a giant glorified sticker that goes on top the whole sheet, nothing on the back. Thermal lamination has that pouch though, so I sandwich it; sticker page, card stock, sticker page. The card stock keeps the stickers from laminating together; you just cut the edges off of the laminate and peel it open (there are YouTube videos that show this better then I can describe it, it’s easier than I make it sound lol). I print, laminate, then cut.

The holographic papers I use are just weird Chinese stuff that is sold by multiple sellers. They’re all A4. Here’s one kind I use, there’s a sticker in my post history that uses this one:

For this and other holographic papers I have to turn all my lights off for it to register. I think it’s just TOO reflective and any lights throw the machine off? That is my best guess so far. I also cut out squares of white matte sticker paper and put it on the corners for the registration marks to print on. Nothing else is as picky as the holographic stuff, though. My workroom is also situated in a way that the sun blares into it for a good chunk of the day. I’ve heard people with darker rooms need a light right on it. It’s another trial and error thing, so much of it is with this machine so far lmao

Here’s the Amazon link

Looks like it was on sale when I bought it or something, but there are also slightly cheaper ones out there, though this is the only one I’ve tried.

EDIT: working link
