Just make sure to acclimate your VFT to withstand the heat. If you put it outside all day tomorrow, it would probably die. So please be patient!

I don’t know if this helps, but I use a self watering container. It slows down the issue of water evaporation. I use this planter. and tape the refill hole to prevent bugs from getting in. You of course could easily make your own as well using two large yogurt/plastic tubs and string.
