It is very easy to clean. I always handwash. Caution you that for any air fryer or anything with a non-stick finish do not use non-stick sprays that contain lecithin. The lecithin makes the finish start flaking off of any kitchen tool with a non-stick finish. Pam is one not to use.
I have a Gourmia basket type air fryer and a Canadian Instant Pot (IP) brand Instant Vortex Plus 10-quart Air Fryer Oven (https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Vortex-Plus-Rotisserie-10/dp/B07VM28XTR).I like the Gourmia, but love, love the IP oven air fryer. It has a rotisserie attachment, a bottom tray tor catching drippings, and two trays for cooking. It is so, so easy to clean inside and outside. I clean it everytime I use it which is normally at least once a day.
I can cook a whole meal in the IP, whereas in the basket type, there is room for only one,and sometimes maybe two, items to cook. Had an appetizer type meal last Saturday night, and cooked all at the same time in the IP jalepeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. Last night I cooked a steak, quartered baby gold potatoes, and baby broccoli, which was wonderful. I certainly recommend you give real consideration to purchasing an oven-type air fryer, as well as the Instant Pot brand. Their customer service is absolutely awesome.
