I had pluck foamin my hard case.
Works really well to get an approximate fit, but is fragile. I used a few cans of spray-on plasti-dip to solidify the shape of the cutout. Resisted deformation, heat damage, and kept everything rock solid.
As mentioned by u/RowdyKraken I tossed it to increase the utility of my case. I can hold more equipment and firearms if necessary.
If you have dedicated cases, that pluck foam with spray-on should really hold things in place. And you can do colors and make it look cool, which is rule no. 1...
