I have had mixed luck with places that sharpen knifes. Some of them do a really good job. Others just hold the knife against a grinding wheel. And not only does it not get very sharp, it also loses a lot of material.
Ultimately, the best option is to learn how to use a honing steel and a whetstone. But I am somewhat pragmatic. I know that I am too lazy to get the stone out and spend the 10min or so that it takes to sharpen my knife.
So, I picked the next best thing and bought an electric sharpener. It's not as good as a whetstone, but much better than the grinding wheel. And honestly, a good electric sharpener does do a reasonable job. I like this model: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UGUNFM Put it on https://camelcamelcamel.com, as it occasionally drops in price.
Also, all my knifes have a 15° angle. If your knifes are 20°, then make sure to get the appropriate sharpener.
