I have this switch with this USB hub plugged into it. I've got my keyboard, a DAC/Amp, a webcam, and a microphone plugged into it, and it's worked fine so far. I don't have my mouse plugged into it, because I like using a Magic Trackpad for my work MacBook.
I use this with my Virpil gear:

Anker is my go to for accessories and anything that is battery powered.
This is the 10M / 32ft fiber optic HDMI cable I purchased:

And this is the USB hub I used:

I should also mention that I went with an HDMI cable instead of displayport because it is easy to convert from displayport to HDMI output if I need more HDMI ports, but not the other way around, and most monitors support HDMI.
I should also mention my current monitor is HDMI only so I needed HDMI anyway, and I have been considering upgrading my monitor to a larger one, in which case I'd put my older smaller one in the living room, which would require a second HDMI output from a card that only has one and three displayports... hence my mention of liking the ease of converting displayport to HDMI.
And here is the active USB cable I used:
Since it is a bit shorter than I needed, only 5M / 16ft) but it's what I already had (originally purchased for a third Oculus sensor), I bought a longer cable for the hub, which has one of those square USB jacks on it so you can replace the cable. I figured since the distance from the repeater on the active cable wouldn't be that far, it would still work, and it did.
And in case anyone's interested, I have the tracker dongles all running off a single USB C port with this hub, and they work fine:

Do be aware that the cable on that hub is attached to it, and it's very short, so I have the sensors on longer USB cables running up to a table away from the PC. It may be more ideal to use a different hub with a longer cable and just plug the sensors into it. But the sensors are a bit wide so you gotta take care to get a hub which they can fit side by side on.
I've been using an older version of this Anker hub for my two Virpil alpha sticks and throttle. No issues with it!
