- Bob Iger's Autobiography. Probably one of my favorite. It is quick, easy to read and has some great stories. Iger is without doubt a classic example of the Affiliative leader, putting high degree's of emphasis on relationship buidling.
- Jack Welch's Autobiography. Jack is controversial. There are somethings I like and some I dislike. The book is long but excellent, albeit a bit egomaniacal at times.
- Steve Job's Biography. Again, a controversial character, but the book is excellent. Job's is the absolute pinnacle of the "visionary" leader.
Note, the above 3 are very different, and I like Iger's the best.
Below are a few articles I find myself reading over and over again. They are all from HBR. I feel that they are really 3 key readings of (literally) 100's that I've read in the multiple MBA org. management/leadership classes I've taken.
Final note: These readings are only as good as you are willing to take them to heart and apply them. It is not easy and takes discipline to be self-reflective each day in understanding what you did well and what you need to improve on as a leader.
