Yes, the first set of benchmarks that I posted to imgur are from the USB-C port on the back of my motherboard.
Here are my benchmarks using the 10Gbps USB-A port on the back of my motherboard in conjunction with a Cable Matters USB-A to USB-C cable:

Cable used:

Then use the cable with something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XHL5399/ or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9FYTSST/ this has 3C4A variants. It does ship with C-C and female C to male A adapter but I wouldn't trust that adapter if I were you, not when for 10 bucks you can skip it.
If you insist on an adapter then read https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/m7rcu5/any_reliable_usbc_female_to_usba_male_adapters_yet/grducjr/ https://www.reddit.com/r/UsbCHardware/comments/nzuu6z/i_need_some_usbc_female_to_usba_male_adapters/h1rr65n/
Need even more ports? I got you. https://www.newegg.com/p/0J2-06Z5-00005
This cable is USB-IF certified, less expensive, and from a well respected US company:
