i started with using adapters, specifically this one

But this made the battery to esc connection pretty heavy. Plus, the deans connector started to feel like it was getting lose. So bought a soldering iron from amazon for $16

and used these replacement xt60 connectors

Must say, i like the xt60 connector much better than the Deans. So much more secure and easier to unplug.
