Diaspora is a decentralized self hosted Facebook Alternative.
You’ll have to talk to your ISP about setting up a static IP or you can use a dyndns service if money is right. Most ISPs won’t care about you hosting a site until it reaches a certain traffic threshold.
Otherwise, Twitter, Facebook, and Amazon are private property and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. They can’t stop you from self housing content (your ISP can though if it is illegal content).
