My first dash cam used a common 1/4-20 mount and I was able to find a stronger suction cup with a 1/4-20 mount. That worked well, lasting months at a time, but eventually I bought a new dash cam and it didn’t use the 1/4-20 mount. Someone on here recommended a mount that attaches to the rear view mirror. I bought one from Apeman (even though my camera is Roav, it has a compatible mount). Apeman was removed from Amazon in the fake review purge, but this model looks identical (and you can find several other brand names with identical looking products). I’ve been quite happy with it.
