Hey,

Thanks for the reply and let me give you all the information I can. Sorry about the delay - I've had meetings all day.

This is found on the System Information Window:

  • OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
  • Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134
  • Other OS Description Not Available
  • OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation
  • System Name DESKTOP-T4SDBMJ
  • System Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation
  • System Model Surface Laptop
  • System Type x64-based PC
  • System SKU Surface_Laptop
  • Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2712 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

Just to confirm, this is the Surface laptop and not the surface tablet.

Ports Available:

It's pretty frustrating that they failed to include a USB-C port and Thunderbolt 3 port.

Office Setup:

I have two Dell monitors that I attached to my Macbook pro. The Macbook Pro is a 2017 model with 2 Thunderbolt-3 ports.

  1. The first monitor was connected by HDMI cord to a Totu adapter which had an output of a male thunderbolt 3 which I plugged into my laptop
  2. The second monitor was connected directly to my laptop by a "hdmi to thunderbolt 3" cable.

Thoughts:

I am not sure the best route to take. Ideally, if I could similar setup since my family uses this office with previous configuration so changing wires could just be a hassle. At the end of the day, whatever needs to be done is the best option. I appreciate you helping me out on this one! Looking forward to hearing back.

This is the one I ordered in November 2018 when I purchased the Surface Go and I have no complaints.
