and a new pair of cheap headphones
i cannot STAND screen protectors, they destroy the interface imo
I've never had a problem with Panasonic RP-HJE120-PPK.
Here's black but they come in multiple colors: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EM8008
Also a version with in-line microphone: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RPTCM125K-Headphones-Black/dp/B00E4LGVUO
The G1 has a built in mic. Any standard set of earbuds will be fine. I really like these.
these Panasonic earphones are the best and most durable earphones i have owned they sell on amazon for only $6 . buy now you wont regret it. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RPHJE120K-In-Ear-Headphone-Black/dp/B003EM8008/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1445228968&sr=8-1&keywords=earphones
So refreshing to see these responses, I've seen way too many producers try to say the first thing you need to do is buy billion dollar monitors. Absolutely nothing wrong with starting out on cheap headphones.
Some of my favorite work was made while using my go-to, currently $8 Panasonic RP-HJE120-PPK's.
Amazon has these for less than 7$. They are always this price though. The sound is surprising. They fit nicely. They don't hurt. They actually block outside noise well too.
I've tried dozens of brands, and love these to fall asleep with. I can sleep on my side and they don't kill my ears. https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RP-HJE120-PPK-Stereo-Earphones-Black/dp/B003EM8008
These are excellent value at just $6. The sound quality is good and they're fairly well built, still going strong after 7 months of usage here.
