I've bought both. I love these lights and got the others because the price jumped for some reason.

I agree with everyone that said your plants could be closer, but I had much better luck with these on a timer. I can't really tell which lights you have, but these were a step up from the super inexpensive amazon lights I had at first.

I just got some of these in today and I am a big fan so far: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFPBQDR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AHW86H6TAWTFYA2A3TF5

Pros: - So many possible combinations. 6 strips, 3 power cords, 2 types of connectors, 4 types of mounts (2 metal brackets with screws, Velcro, zip ties). Also has panels to attach to the strips to focus the light - Very bright - Very compact

Cons: - Not as flimsy as the super cheap ones you find on Amazon, but not exactly industrial quality either - I can’t speak yet to how effective or long lasting they are, but no complaints on day 1 - Price is $70, but imo you’re getting 4 times as much as the cheaper $40 options on Amazon

These right here. They’re the warm looking ones I find them easier on the eyes. Plants aren’t suffering any, they’re all actively growing. Monios-L T8 LED Grow Light 2FT,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QFPBQDR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

i use two kinds, these by kihung for the begonias that prefer lower light (since these arent even technically grow lights, theyre shop lights) and these much brighter ones from monios. the monios are very bright and bring out some fantastic color in rexes/rhizos, and i use them for props and seeds also. however the top of them, the metal strip, tends to get pretty hot and it does generate some heat - it doesnt affect the plants under the light or anything, but the relative temp in the area will likely go up a bit, especially if you put them in an enclosure, like one of those covered greenhouse shelves

I use these, also from amazon. I'm sure there's probably better out there, but these work really well for me. I believe mine are on for 12 hours a day. You can double them up on each shelf too if you want.

For indoor seed starting I use these shop lights from Lowes though they seem to have gone up in price from what I paid for them some years ago.

I also added these Monios from Amazon a couple of years ago but have seen little improvement or change from when I only used the shop lights.

I only use the lights for indoor seed starting to get a jump on the growing season. For seed starting I'd recommend the shop lights, for more extended indoor growing you'd want to look at grow lights with a broader spectrum.

Hi!

I started with these. They are fine for seedlings and I use them now to supplement my other lights. They have a timer that you have to turn in and it will automatically turn off, but if you’re using a power strip with a timer (like I am) you have to turn it on everyday. Oh also, my friend gave me one of her lights of the same type and it died soon after. Not sure how long she had it for, but I don’t expect mine to last all that long.

I got this when I realized the first one wouldn’t bring my tomatoes to flowering and I need a stronger light. I got my tomatoes and peppers to produce with this light. It’s $100 though.

These are great. I use them for supplemental light as my veggies are at different stages because I plant in succession. It’s much stronger than #1. I have used it for my peppers too and they loved it.

I just got this one yesterday and according to my free light meter app, it’s off the charts with output. I doubt the meter is accurate but it works well for comparison between my lights. I even check the light coming in through the windows to learn more about how lights compare the sun. Surprise, the sun is bright! :) So far I think this is my favorite. It’s inexpensive, had tons of reviews, and I plugged it into this lamp - https://www.target.com/p/cantilever-floor-lamp-brass-project-62-8482/-/A-50598682

... it looks great and covers all of my plants with a super strong output.

Lastly, these are coming in a few days. I bought a bookshelf that I want to hook these up to on the bottom of each shelf. They also have great reviews. Let me know if you want an update on them when I get them.

BTW, I am growing tons of veggies in my house, but flowering veggies require the most light which is why I mentioned them. I have a bunch of houseplants too. Let me know if you have any questions!

I wish you the best of luck!

I have these and they have been great. Not sure if they are better in terms of power, but the plug never gets hot. I have them plugged into timers.

I started around the same time... last spring/summer or so. All Kratky so far, but looking to experiment with some DWC soon.

I used 2 of these hanging T5s and 2 of these freestanding T5s for nearly a year with great results. Strongly advise using such an adjustable solution as you can keep them the recommended ~6" above the leaf canopies.

During a recent upgrade, I just switched to 42 of these LED T8s (well, 7 of these 6-packs) to reduce the amount of space being used by my lighting solution. Good so far after about a week; looking forward to the longer-term results. One six-pack of these covers about the same amount of space as one of the the 4' T5 I linked above, and takes up much less space. Downside: No reflectors. But I enclose my grow areas in mylar, so meh.

Whatever lights you buy, make sure they're the right color temperature for your kinds of plants. If you're growing many different kinds of plants, make sure they're full spectrum.

Additional advice: Once you get some mature tomato plants, transplant cuttings from their healthiest-looking tips. Those transplants seem to produce more quickly, and more total tomatoes, because they're already mature when you plant them. Took mine about 3-5 days to put down their first roots. Remember to cut at a 45 degree angle. I don't know why, but that's what everyone says to do.
