I used 3 1/2" long M8 hanger bolts from amazon. Simply screw these in instead of the included lag screws with enough of the M8 bolt portion sticking out for the leg. Then screw the leg onto the hanger bolt. And that's it.

You could potentially use other legs too as long as they have a female threaded hole for an M8 screw.
