I have been using micro plates (1.25 lbs each) to increment my pressing movements by 2.5 lbs per lift. I haven't had to reset in 15 lifting sessions... Just did a 95 lbs OHP working set on Monday (started at 45 lbs 12 weeks ago). I recommend you buy a set! Or toss some 1 lb something-else over the bar.
