I recently picked up this pocket scale...

Once it arrived I compared a couple of measurements with another scale that my friend uses for reloading ammunition.
I've gone through a couple American Weigh scales - they're cheap and respond reasonably quickly. I haven't had issues with drift, or at least nothing near the Black Mirror. You can also calibrate them with calibration weights if you want to.
FWIW the one I started with lasted ~3 years (although it was about $15 cheaper when I originally got it) and I have this one now which I have no complaints abt (the lid covers the weigh platform and the button/screen pop into the body so they don't get bumped while traveling.)
I've been using this thing for almost three years. only thing is it is super tiny. my pourovers / french press are about as big as you can go. but it's fine! i did have to replace it after it eventually gave out, but for $8 i didn't mind
I bought this scale many many years ago for, ummm, nefarious purposes, i guess is an innocuous way to say it, still use it for weighing food, works great, you can select grams or oz and it is very accurate, small enough I can stick it in my bag or pocket and have it whenever I need it. I typically use it for portioning out my lunches for the week. http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Scales-Digital-BL-1KG-BLK/dp/B0012N1NAA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417793602&sr=8-1&keywords=american+weigh+blade
