Medieval Style Honey Biscuits: Adapted from an actual medieval recipe, found in: https://www.amazon.com/Feast-Ice-Fire-Official-Companion-ebook/dp/B006L7CG58/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1517190295&sr=8-3&keywords=game+of+thrones+cookbook The Game of Thrones Offical Cookbook
Recipe:
2 Cups of Flour
2/3rds Cup Olive Oil (Or similar cooking oil, or equivalent butter)
1/4 Cup Honey
Pinch of cinnamon, to taste.
Cold Water
Mix the Flour and Oil together in any standard mixing bowl; make sure the oil is completely absorbed. Mix in cinnamon, honey and cold water, small amounts at a time and do like wise; you want a dough that is malleable, but not soupy or dry.
Once fully combined, take out of the mixing bowl to a cutting board or similar surface, sprinkled with a little flour. Press the dough flat, and cut circle shapes (or cookie cutters are fun) out of the dough, then put them in a heated skillet with a small amount of oil. Let the pieces cook about three minutes aside, or at least until they turn golden brown. Once removed from heat, drizzle honey over the top to taste, but otherwise enjoy!
Alternatively, you can spoon out the dough directly onto the pan itself, this usually leads to thicker, if more doughey biscuits.
If it helps, here's the UK edition, and the Hardback comes up with a search under international shipping availability.
