That's a great idea! I should add that to my other techniques. I either wear my tata towel, or the towels that have velcro, then I roll up a bath towel, so it's long and put it around the sink and will use a couple of washcloths that I used in the previous days to dry my face with and place them behind the faucet or areas the towel doesn't reach. My holy grail is my travel bidet bottle that I use to get the best rinse ever without making a gigantic mess! I bought it specifically for washing my face and only use it for that purpose. I hate leaving any cleanser residue and getting a good rinseunder my jawline and neck and hairline was driving me crazy and causing it to look like a pipe burst in my bathroom. So I originally was thinking about when I gave birth and used the pericare bottles, but came across this and it's way better. The price is higher now than it was, I think it wad around $9 before C19. I also try to keep my elbows pointing down in the sink so the water runs into the sink instead of on me or the counter. When I am done I hang the towel over the shower curtain rod overnight so it dries better and then hang up my washcloths, tata towel, and bath towel. Dump the water out of the bidet bottle and put it opening side door so that no water will stay inside of it. I wash it out with dawn dish soap every 3-4 days and let it dry. I actually wash my hands with dawn because it doesn't do as much damage to my hands as other soaps do.
Edit Does anyone else have trouble with the headbands that velcro or even the other kind, where it does not stay in place and slides up in the back and up off yours ears? I have tried making it tighter and looser and as soon as I move my head down to the sink to rinse it slides up in the back and then it's all over. But I still try every night, lol. I want to protect my ears because I end up with water in them.
This is what I do, I use a bath towel that I roll up length wise and line the front and sides of the sink and then I take the washcloths that I have hanging up, that I already used and put them behind the faucet and any other area that is empty. I buy these microfiber washcloths because they can be hung up and dry before I put them in the laundry or just straight to the washing machine and I will use them usually twice, once for drying my face and to absorb water. I also bought a travel bidet bottle to rinse my face and it is one of the best tools I have to get a really good rinse and not make as big of a mess.
Get a travel bidet bottle it is a game changer! You get a really good rinse and less of a mess, and I think I don't use a much water. I was looking for a peri care bottle so I could get a better rinse on my neck and jawline and came across the travel bidet and it is way better than the other bottles. Unfortunately because of the pandemic the price is jacked up on these bottles. I also roll a bath towel up length wise and put it around the sink and either wear my tata towel, or the bath towels that velcro. I am definitely going to try the wrist bands out, though!
