Little late...but I use a small tactical shoulder bag. --> Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rover Sling Pack Works out great because its small and lightweight. Also keeps me from bring too much tackle, is easy to swing it around front and grab pliers/bocas/scale/snips etc... I used to use a larger spiderwire bag that i really liked...but this is just so much more comfortable and convenient. Good for fishing under 4 hours. Greater than that i would take my larger bag to carry water/snacks.
If you have a smaller headset (Halo, Clarity Aloft, Faro Air, or similar), I love my Red Rock Sling Pack. It easily swallows my kneeboard, headset, iPad, and Stratux (although I usually carry the Stratux because of antennas), has MOLLE webbing on the outside that is great for holding my mini-mag, a few places to clip water on, extra space for a multi-tool, places to stash pens, etc.
If you have a bigger headset though, it may not work as well. Also, it doesn't really have a place for a ton of documentation or my yoke mount... but again, I just tend to carry those when I need them. For just "going flying", the sling is more than enough.
