Well one thing I came to realize was that it was preferable to be shorter as then it could rest on the internal supports and closer to the flames. Ones that are larger rest on the outer ledge tend to hold it higher away, and its already weak as it is.

I forgot to mention I picked the le creuset also cause my wife wanted an enameled one. The other consideration was

which is actually near the perfect dimensions per specs 8.25x13 but I didnt try as I thought the handles would get in the way. But its cheap enough I might just order it now. Will let y’all know.
