I use a deer leather slip mat with my Fluance RT82. I was going to try acrylic slip but I read that it’s possible for your record to physically slip while playing and possibly scratching with an acrylic mat. I didn’t want to risk it. Leather is also naturally anti-static.
Honestly, if you have coveted vinyl and want to listen to them, it’s worth opening up your budget and getting a better player vs a low end base model. The Fluance RT series requires you to have your own preamp. Even people with the audio technica LP120x prefer to disable the onboard preamp so they can use their own.
Also r/vinyl weekly help thread has lots of information to look through about purchasing a player and you can get feedback from people there too.
This is the leather slip mat that I purchased. He cuts and makes them. It’s buttery smooth and soft.
