If anyone else is looking; some notes on ender 5 plus upgrade adventure:

1. Have to change the thermistor plug; possible by pushing the little pins in plug and using the old one on ender at end of original thermo wire.
2. Klipper setting for extrude set to rotation_distance: 21
3. Temps need a +5 boost or so from stock
4. Able to print at 300mm/s, limiting factor now is the shake due to being top heavy. Gets a ton of artifacts even with input shaping.
5. Klipper sonic pad works decently enough; klipper in 20mins or so. Does have some odd bugs (do NOT try to change print settings while printing)
6. The cartridge side switches; causing some wiring hassles on hotend.
7. The stock Fan shroud mount with bltouch suckkkkkksss to work on with microswiss plate; save yourself the headache/swearing and head over to thingaverse and grab your favorite.
8. Be sure to buy a new stepper motor for extruder; the one I had a gear pressed on. Removal looked un-fun.
   

Overall enjoying PLA prints with new setup; trying petg and PolyC next.
