I have the same center console protection film! And just like you, I found that the big piece is crap, but I used all of the other little pieces. I ended up wrapping the rest of the console with some satin wrap as shown in my post.

I have HeatShield as my sunshade, it works great! I do have TOUGHPRO floor mats and cargo area mats while I'm waiting for TuxMat to have their mats to be available. I had a set of TuxMats on my 2nd gen Acura RDX and I loved them, so I can't wait for it to be available for the P2. The TOUGHPRO mats do not come up the sides, it looks like they have giant sheets that they cut for the cars they support, but they still work pretty well in the interim.

Edit: I forgot to tell you OP I highly recommend you do not cut the vinyl wrap for the center console to just "fit", rather I highly highly recommend you roll the wrap to the backside. The 3m film I used worked beautifully with a little heat, and by rolling the wrap around the edges, you can avoid it lifting from catching it. Good luck!
