I've bought a couple of these https://www.amazon.com//dp/B08YDH8ZX3 and they work fine. I would recommend one with a digital display for temp control, instead of just the little twist knob. If you do have any issues with these little kits, it's probably the solder. Most of them come with crap solder. There are a lot of better soldering irons out there, but these are a great way to get a temp control iron with a few tips and tools for cheap just to see if you need something better.
Just start with cheap but functional to see what suits your needs.
Cheap but decent iron and tools: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YDH8ZX3 $18.65 out the door now with Amazon Prime. I've bought 2 of them, and they are fine. I give them away to friends that want to learn. (keeps them from bringing stuff to me to fix :)
Cheap decent solder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076QF1Y85 Never trust the solder that comes with cheap sets. Just get something half decent like this to start with.
Case to put the above in. Go to Goodwill or another 2nd hand store. They'll have something perfect for $3.00 or so.
You'll get a lot of recommendations to get Flux, a Pinecil, and a LOT of other stuff. But wait to see if you need all that. If you do, by all means upgrade. You'll know a lot more about what you really need after using the above $20 set for a bit, and who knows, it might meet 90% of your needs.
Other stuff you might need. I've bought all of the below, and it was all decent. Some stuff like the Magnified Glasses just rocks.
