First, ditch the Marlin firmware. It is not worth it on this printer. It is simply too niche to have good reliable Marlin firmware with all features. Go Klipper.

Second, do not rely on bltouch as a fix for your warped bed. It is just bad practice and I see it all over the place. Get yourself a nice thick flat alu bed and silicone heater.

Otherwise, I have bltouch connected to a second Z-stop and with Klipper, it works fine.

Edit: Just to clarify, CR-10 is no contest with this printer because it is a bed slinger. Properly tuned Coreception will beat it in pretty much every fight.

the ender and cr10 are going to print the same; the difference is the size of the print plate.

are you 'ever' going to print large scale items? If so, then yes CR10.

A lot of my friends have Enders - sure their great, but they cant print a full battle helmet in one go.

if it were my decision; I would go with a CR10 - just because you can print smaller items on it - you don't have to use the entire print surface every time - but it's available when you want to.

You could upgrade the plate heater

and not have the annoyingly long warm up periods.

I have this on my CR10; I have been printing in PETG and ABS for quite some time - the bed heater upgrade was practically required because the stock heater took forever to reach temp

I now reach temps under a minute.
