This year I'm trying these small drip/pour-over filters with my own ground coffee:

I brew into this pot (which stores our cups) to keep the filter up out of the coffee:

Working out well so far!
Fixed the link, thanks!
The Trangia also contains a simmer ring, allowing variable output so you can slowly heat up food. You can get a generic version of this on Aliexpress as well.
Actually I will get one of those generic ones for my BoB. It will fit in my Stanley Cook Set. A GSI (or Titanium) cup also fits nicely around it, so you end up with a self-contained cooking set in a single tube.
There's a few vids with people making sets like this (I won't paste, this time, because I will just mess up again :-D ). I might make a new post when I get it together.
Here's one kit that is mostly complete that I built for my GF for Christmas. This is more of a "get home kit" since she works on the other side of the river, and post-CSZ the majority of bridges will be down.

A couple tips with this list:
You don't need the expensive batteries I included, you can use less expensive ones.
2x of the 4oz fuel cans and the burner will fit inside the Stanley Camp Kit once you dispose of those worthless cups.
This kit doesn't include shelter.
If you're thinking about this as a "get home kit", be sure to include good shoes.
You can jam it all into the shoulder bag with the food going into the dump pouch. All of this stays in the back of her car.

Throw a couple bics in, some garbage bags, some paper towels, and a pack of wetwipes. You can add a firesteel, magnesium bar, and firestarters if you want. Fishing line, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap. Headnet, bugspray, hand/footwarmers depending on the season.
Med kit. Sleeping bag. I don't like the plastic signal mirrors so I pack a make up compact mirror that is pretty rugged. Throw a fork and spoon in. An emergency hand crank radio. A compass, maps. Hand sanitizer. A towel. A folding saw. A water bladder. These are all options to carry.
Wool socks, insulated hat for winter, brimmed fishing hat for summer, leather gloves to handle hot food or work in. Base layer to wick sweat away. Hiking boots. Flashlight.
I tried to list just the basics but it kinda got away from me there.
I have the first GSI one you have linked. Its great for car camping and perfect for 2. On a rocket stove , everything cooks quick. I have been shifting towards backpacking more lately and this has gotten " too heavy" . I would go for something like the second one you have linked. If you want to save a couple bucks get this Stanley Adventure Cup Spend the rest of the money on other goodies.
I have been buying my gear with intentions to use it for both backpacking and bikepacking. I can share some of what I have learned so far and some tips to help.
I second what everyone has been saying. If you don’t have an REI co-op membership (25$ for lifetime) get one. It will pay for itself in no time.
REI usually has a big sale in the spring for members. You get 20% off one full priced item and 20% off of one outlet item. If there’s any big ticket items you can wait to buy until then that might help also.
Hammock camping:
Also you’ll want the tarp, under quilt and big net.
Tent camping:
I borrowed this tent from someone recently and I was impressed with it. It got a fair amount of condensation but that didn’t get inside. Did not get to test in a downpour.
Backpacks- I have an Osprey Ariel Plus 60. I paid a lot for it because I plan to use it on a big backpacking trip in a few years. I also have a lot of consideration to REI Flash 55.
I have a Nemo Disco 20 sleeping bag, lots of folks are using quilts to save weight. I can’t recommend any budget quilts as I don’t have experience with them.
Sawyer Squeeze water filter (40$) and a smart water bottle makes a cheap filtration system.

(I know this is Walmart, but I have had an older model of this and used it for lots of different things including stage tech work for about 8 years now and it’s held up so I can vouch for it)
