An album of Bartok piano music which includes the Piano Sonata (1926), maybe? I'd recommend the Argerich, but it's getting close to Christmas, so shipping might be an issue from what's on Amazon right now
This live album of Prokofiev's "War Sonatas" by Richter would ship in time.
If you don't mind purchasing used (or don't want to get gouged $99.99 for a new copy) this Horowitz recording of Mussorgsky/Liszt's Sonata is HIGHLY recommended/would also arrive before Christmas.
Additionally, A Horowitz album of Schumann's Fantasie/Balakirev's Islamey is fantastic: It's available on ebay here (and is said to arrive before Christmas)
A double album of the Brandenberg Concertos is always a great choice.
I've been trying to listen to more gamelan music lately; Smithsonian Folkways has a whole series called Music of Indonesia, many of the albums would arrive in time from Amazon.
Naftule Brandwein: King of the Klezmer Clarinet is a great album, but is currently only available used on Amazon (though it would arrive on time)
Philip Glass's Einstein on the Beach is great, and this recording of his Heroes symphony (a reworking of Bowie/Brian Eno music) is good.
The opera Nixon in China is great; a Blu-Ray would ship from Amazon before Christmas, and the album would arrive before Christmas, but only used, unfortunately. (The Edo de Waart-conducted one was good but VERY quiet-sounding, had to crank up the headphones, I haven't heard the Alsop).
Pavarotti/Freni's La Boheme from the 70's (I think from EMI It was Decca) is also a nice recording. This one arrives before Christmas new, though there are plenty of used options.
EDIT: Forgot to add "Music of the Gothic Era" by the Early Music Consort of London led by David Munrow, worth it for the Leonin Viderunt Omnes alone; it's been reissued a couple times, this one is new but a bit pricey; other used options will also ship before Christmas.
Hope this helps!
