Thanks, is there any benefit to using XLR to RCA cables like these to attach the JBL’s to the Rolls output? Or is 1/4” to RCA just fine in this case? These

I don’t see how optical is an option? If I’m using the headphone out on both the PC monitor and the MacBook. Basically, 3.5mm from laptop to RCA on Rolls input 2, (same connection from PC monitor to input 3). Then Rolls output RCA to either XLR or 1/4” to each JBL.

Lastly, is it safe to have each JBL on max volume and then use the knobs on the Rolls to control the overall output?

Of course I’ll have to do some balancing with the sources once everything is up and running. I’m expecting the MacBook to also be maxed out but in my experience with just headphones the monitor caps out for me around 30-40/100 for sufficient volume output. Maybe it’s possible that adjusting the knobs on the JBL’s could reduce potential signal noise, unfortunately I won’t be able to test anything until my new desk arrives at the end of the month.
